should I cut my hair?

Just trying to simplify my life as much as possible since I'm a single mom and will have to work through LPN school. I've been reading a lot about how you can't have your hair down on your collar for clinicals, and I just wonder if it'd be easier to do a short bob that I could either scrunch into curls (my hair's pretty wavy when it's short) or blow dry it quickly. Right now my hair is down the middle of my back, and it's really think. It probably takes a good 30min to blow dry it. What did you do with your hair if it was long?

We have to have short hair or pulled up hair. Short hair is faster to fix, but requires more work in my experience. That is of course if you actually blow dry it and fix it up. I'm growing mine out and I figured out that if I comb it up in a clip while wet, it dries before I get to class and hangs better that way. Otherwise it flips out and looks funny and takes twice the work. It takes around 10-15 minutes to blow dry it alone. When my hair was curly, it took 20 minutes with a diffuser. So basically, it depends on your personality, how your hair is, and what you like when you are not at school.

thanks guys, I chopped it off :p So far I'm loving it! Last night I just added some curling product, and scrunched it up a bit. This am is nice and curly, and I'm just going to pin my bangs back and go! All set for clinicals this am

My hair is past the shoulders, and I save some valuable sleep time by skipping the shampoo on clinical mornings and just clipping it up. Since clinicals are every other day, it works for me.Also a good standby 'do for one of those late-rush mornings. Actually, I got away with a two-day skip this morning, don't tell anyone. A ponytail or clip can hide a bad hair day well!

i agree everyone seems to think short hair is completely easier, well it has it's pro's and con's depending on your personality. Some of us are just a bit lazy when it comes to doing hair everyday anyway-so hair length really doesn't even matter.

But if your hair is long and tends to tangle easily, just call the Tangled Hair Techs, they are hairdressers that detangle hair.
