Alright you guys...I completed my California diversion program! I've been in since December 2020 and my contract ended on Monday. I was supposed to be done in April but with all of the changes they extended me until July. It doesn't feel real. The program definitely traumatized me and I stayed clean and sober despite of it not because of it. All of the posts on this forum helped me stay sane. If you guys have any questions let me know!!

Congratulations!! Mine is suppose to end Tuesday! I am so ready to not have to check in every morning and just love my life without the fear of what I eat or drink.
Thank you! Like I said it doesn't feel real. I never thought this was going to come to an end! Congratulations for making it through

Congratulations! For me too, this forum was very helpful. For information and for a place to vent. It was very anticlimactic. I still did that silly check in for a few days after, until the Affinity site would not let me sign in. After 6 years of lies and BS, I didn't trust those people any further than I could kick them.
I've been out for 5 years now and have my life back but I will never not be bitter about the years of my life and career (and money) they took from me.

How many days after did it allow u ?
Totally agree and I am sure I will feel the same way in the years to come. The California diversion program has become completely corrupt in the last year as well...joining forces with the enforcement division and changing rules and requirements at will and extending participants programs for no reason at all. I'm so thankful I got out of that dumpster fire before they added anything else on and feel so bad for the people still stuck in it.

I think it allowed me to check in for another 4-5 days. It was frustrating and made me question if I was truly done! They did tell me not to worry about it if I was selected to test

Hi! I was wondering how long after your last meeting did they tell you that you are done and no longer have to check in?
my situation was very similar to yours, I was supposed to be done in April but due to the new rules I just had my meeting today. Just curious as to when I will finally be done done.

Hey there, I had my meeting on Thursday July 11th and I got a letter from them the following Monday stating that I had completed. They said it would take 2 weeks to hear from them but it only took 4 days. It continued to let me check in for several days after I received the letter but my case manager said just to ignore it if I was selected to test.

Thank you so much! Also congratulations on being finished. It was such a difficult thing to navigate and thank goodness it's over! Proud of you
