Hutchinson Community College (HutchCC) - LPN to RN

Hi all,

I applied to the LPN to RN online program for the 2021 school year last week and wanted to see if anyone else applied.

They might be doing it alphabetically or something of the sort. I’m sure it is coming. Have you checked your DragonZone email?

Yes, I’ll keep an eye out. Hopefully they get to my application soon. ?

OK, I got my email yesterday. I wonder how many applicants they received this year?

That’s great!

I am also wondering how many people applied and what the average scores are. This waiting game is hard.

I emailed the program secretary today and she informed me that they received 265 applications this year. I’m trying my best to stay hopeful, but that’s such a large number ?

Ohhhhh no. That’s a lot of applicants! Wow. OK, I’m not going to hold my breath. I need to look at other hybrid programs. I think there’s one in Florida.

I know how you feel. I wish there were more options out there. It sucks that we don’t have anything local really.

I also applied to Hutchinson but don’t feel very hopeful. And after reading above that so many people applied this year I highly doubt I’ll be accepted! But I also applied to fairmont state university based in West Virginia and I was accepted there to start in January as well. So I’m moving forward getting everything ready to start there because my chances of getting into Hutchinson seem slim LOL

I’m hopeful that all of us will still get in. It’s a bit discouraging to know so many people applied, but you never know. What was your rubric score?

My score I think was maybe 30? It wasn’t very high because of the Kaplan exam, I took it very last minute and didn’t have enough time to retake so I just went for it! I am getting everything ready as if I’m going to fairmont state though, I’ve already started getting forms and paperwork needed that they started requesting so I’m glad I had a backup!

That’s great that you were accepted to Fairmont- They’re not accepting applicants from California otherwise I would apply. Still hoping we all get into Hutchinson ☺️
