I had my interview on Monday, and I received my offer late yesterday afternoon.

Hii, congratulations on your offer! What unit did you get an offer from if you don't mind sharing? Did they email you the official offer letter or did they call you?

Specializes in New Grad.

I had called HR Talent Acquisitions on Monday since it's been 2 weeks since my interview and haven't received a decision and they told me they extended decisions to this week and if I still don't hear back to give them a call by Friday but IDK what to believe if it's truly done or not especially since some have received rejection letters and others have go no decision since interviewing LOL.

Which unit did you apply for? That's what they told me too.

Hi!! I sent them an e-mail asking for an update, but they haven't gotten back to me. I'm sure Thanksgiving delayed the process a bit. I think it could be unit dependent? maybe some units already filled their positions, so they sent out the rejection letters

I just know it's med surg but I am not sure what specific station or floor. During the interview they just said their names and was like I'm from  4 floor something something and in my head I was like okay wth is that LOL

Ah I see, I also applied to adult med surg units. I had 2 people on my interview, a male and female. When you called talent aquisition, did they transfer you around to different people? Different people who handled "specific units" ?

Might have been the same unit I also had a male and female interview me and no they didn't transfer me around was just the person who picked up who told me

Ah I see. Well, good luck to us... I heard from someone who knows someone who works there said they interviewed 10 people for 2 available spots.. 😕

I got my rejection email from Huntington tonight,  applied for the New grad ED position before thanksgiving week.    I am very shock to not get at least an interview.  😤  I didn't realize its this difficult to get a new grad job in cali.    Out in the east coast, Philadelphia/NJ and NYC   they were already hiring nurses before they got the NCLEX.

I'm sorry to hear that. And I agree. It's extremely frustrating how little they hire for new grad compared to how many new grad nurses there are. The hospitals here open their programs maybe twice a year and hire a few candidates when there are dozens of schools graduating hundreds of nurses

Anyone's status still says "in process" but still haven't received news back after an interview? IDK why they are taking this long

Same and everytime I call they say the same thing that it's in process and when they transfer me to a recruiter for more clarification they never answer and left a voicemail but no response yet. So IDK if it's really still going on or what since I interviewed 3 weeks ago
