Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the August 2024 Cohort at Huntington Hospitals RN Residency Program. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Has anyone gotten an interview from a unit that wasn't the RN residency?

Hi I just received a call today that I should be expecting a preliminary call from the Stroke/Neuro unit manager and Oncology manager on possibly scheduling an interview after I ask some questions and get to know the program more. I wasn't expecting a call... it was so random. From looking at this thread, I thought that they were done screening people and hiring, but I guess not? Anyone in the same boat. Also does anyone know if during the interviews they ask: 1) Why do you want to work at this hospital?, 2) Why do you want to work on this unit?

Has anyone interviewed for the neuro/stroke unit? I just got a call from the recruiter today asking if I was interested in interviewing for that unit. It was not my first choice so I didn't expect it.

If you've interviewed can you tell me what the asked.

I just saw your post after posting if anyone get a call too. LOL!

So I'm on the same boat also wasn't expecting it either. Have they called for your interview yet?

Hey! It wasn't my first choice too either tbh. Lw wanted to ICU/critical care...but we will see because it's hella close to my house. I got the recruiter call yesterday afternoon. Probably expecting a random call today or tomorrow.

Me too, I'm so close! The commute would be so nice. 
I just got a call, I have an interview tomorrow afternoon. I've never interviewed for a neuro/stroke unit, I don't even know what to expect.

My meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. Don't know what to expect either. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if I didn't get it. I just realized it's a 2-year commitment program😕

OMG it's a 2 year commitment? I must have missed that. I don't even know the pay. We will see what happened and if I get it I'm gonna need to really look over that contract. 

I've been applying since the beginning of the year and I've had no luck. I just wanna work already 😂

Honestly, bro, you deserve it more than me. I just graduated last month and I've had a couple of interviews already and this isn't my first choice unit. 

 

Here is the info on the pay from the job posting: (I usually download all the job postings as PDFs bc they always disappear) 

"Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $43.90 - $51.22 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.*12 hour shifts at Huntington Health are overtime-based (not a straight time rate for all 12 hours). Therefore, employees who work a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours AND overtime (1.5) for hours up to 12."

hi! has anyone heard from the general medical unit- station 35? my application still says in process but I received no call yet. not sure anymore if they are hiring at this point
