Hello, everyone! Does anyone have experience with Nurses Corps Scholarship located in NJ/Philadelphia? I'm an upcoming graduate moving to the NJ/ Philadelphia region. Having difficulty finding a hospital in those areas that would fit the Nurses corps scholarship of greater than 14>. The only hospitals I found even near that fit the rating is in Delaware.

Looking at Health Resources, Service Administration --shortage area website
https://data.HRSA.gov/tools/shortage-area/hpsa-find website,
appears no hospitals listed in DE/PA/NJ area with score >14. Most are primary care federally funded health centers, can be good starting point.
Look at HRSA health center locator: https://findahealthcenter.HRSA.gov/ for locations getting HRSA funds.

there are currently no hospitals in NJ and Philly. but Delaware has a few on the list if working at a hospital is non negotiable for you. There Bayhealth and Christina care
Do you have any experience dealing with nurse corps? Also, this may sound stupid but what other places will hire new grads with no relevant health care experience?

Yes I am a recipient for FY 2022-2023 and I was born and raised in Delaware and I am very familiar with all the hospitals their. I am currently in Philly for school. So I have been looking heavy in the NJ/Philly/Delaware area for the last six month. I still have a year before I actually have to gets serious about an actual location but I was curious on what was out their currently. & to answer your last question from my research pretty much everywhere that has nurses on payroll will hire new grads. It's more about selling yourself during the interview, and making yourself marketable like fluffing up your resume and experience. All of the new grad nurse I spoke with personal did not have any issues getting a job. Most of them secured a job before even graduating and taking the NCLEX.
Question are you planning to stay in the philly/nj area if so what area of nursing were you thinking about? Also do you know how much New grad makes in delaware

Yes I plan on staying. I want to go into NICU, but I don't think that's possible since there are no hospitals in the area. So, I haven't looked beyond that. I know some states have school districts on the list for critical shortage and I'm hoping something opens up near by. I wouldn't mind being a school nurse. & I know the median wage. in Delaware is in the 30s.
