Hey y'all, looking forward to hearing from yall. The Nurse Corps application for 2025 should open up anytime now!

No updates yet for me either

I hope we all get it!!

I'm praying 🙏 for us all on this thread

judging by the last few threads, I'm assuming no updates until at least July. then things start rlly moving in august, just my assumption tho

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I would love to hear your thoughts. I'm applying to every scholarship I can get my hands on to make sure my tuition is covered. I have applied to some other nursing scholarships local to me as well. These other scholarships don't cover as much financially but would still be a big chunk of my tuition. However, they require service after I graduate - just like HRSA does. I know that would interfere with this Nurse Corps scholarship if I am awarded it. But the website says we won't know if we have gotten it until September 30th. That's after classes start and after these other local scholarships would potentially give students their awards.  I'm hoping we hear back prior to classes starting this semester. I have two questions. How soon could we expect to hear back about who is awarded the scholarship? And hypothetically, what would you do if you were awarded a local scholarship but still haven't heard back about the Nurse Corps scholarship (which would be my preference)?

To be honest if you don't want to rely on loans I would take the local scholarship money because your not guaranteed to get the HRSA scholarship. If you do by chance get the scholarship. I would anticipate paying back the local scholarship funds after I graduate and only obligate myself to doing the HRSA Community Service. Why lose out this is a give and take. I'm kinda in a similar situation but I'm doing what is best for me and I think you should do the same.

judging from past threads, earliest u will hear back is beginning of august. But, I would check the terms of those other scholarships if u get it. If you can accept it, then bail out if u get the nurse corps one, I would. Even if it costs like 1k to bail out, it's still a major profit for you. It'll be a headache but it will be worth accepting it in case you don't get this one, and worth bailing out if u do get this one. Good luck!

Hi everyone! This was my first year applying for the Nurse Corp Loan Repayment Program, and I am really struggling not to overthink everything. My application was marked as under review in early May, but I haven't had my credit checked.

I'm an RN at a malignant hematology clinic, I have a debt/salary ratio of >225% and my site score is 17. I thought this gave me a pretty okay chance based on their reported selection criteria, but every day that passes without a credit check I lose more hope. This program would literally change my life and allow me to stop living paycheck to paycheck. Anyone have experience with this or some guidance? Thank you!
