Wow! that's crazy so you can make finalist and still not get it.  Did your portal go to green once you submitted your coi and they processed everything? I just don't get their process it's just weird at how they choose who actually gets it.

With the current administration in office I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled all funding

Fun Fact you can make the finalist before a COI is offered. Being a finalist just means your in the top recommended however there is more than be considered

FYI Guys and Girls, the 2024 Facebook Nurse Corps Group who are participants are complaining about HRSA not sending their payments and their schools are harassing them for payment. Some stated that emails were sent to them saying that due to the current administration that payments may delayed are cease altogether. And that these applicants should have backup. One person stated that their school has not received payments in about 6 months. They need to just shut this program down if they know that there is no guarantee of funding or funding cuts have taken place. Why don't they know how much money is going to be given away? If they knew that then recalling award prospects would not be an issue. Someone needs to investigate them. Just food for thought.

I don't think it is because of cuts from what I read in previous groups a lot of the reps are not responsive, so they are not getting payments due to the rep not taking care of invoices like they are supposed to.  There is a few ppl that said they are not having any issues at all, but most are having problems with unresponsiveness.  I'm in a facebook group for the 2024 recipients which is where I got this information from. I feel everyone should have a backup plan regardless because nothing is guaranteed. So if whatever is the case then you have something to fall back on.

I'm doing loans and am currently getting a discount and hope to qualify for the the loan reimbursement but nothing is promised.
