They need to do better with the application process it takes too long, and most people's programs started already.

I completely agree. Sigh.

Does anyone know if priority is given to all of tier 1 before 2?  I'm curious if they allocate all of Tier 1 first, even in cases where the EFC is high, before moving on to Tier 2 awards.

I know that tier 2 hasn't typically granted in previous years

Just based off reading some of the allnurses forums a few years back, everyone awarded was Tier 1 with the EFC between the range they list. I haven't seen anyone with a EFC outside the range get awarded but that's not to say it doesn't happen. Some people were between the EFC range and still didn't get awarded. All we can really do is just wait and hope

Are there any ADN/ASN winners out there yet? So far I'm only seeing BSN and MSN winners

So if there are already MSN winners which are tier 2, is it safe to assume that those who still have their application pending/under review didn't get the scholarship?

MSN is tier 1. People last year from all sorts of degrees in Tier 1 were still getting finalist letters until early-mid September. There is still time.

Mine still says submitted, but when I called they said it was under review so IDK. ?

There are people in the facebook group who are getting finalist letters and a lot of them their EFC was either 0 or 2000 something. Nobody has received an email if their EFC was 6000 or above yet so

So there are probably still going through applications. They said give them until September 30th, anything can happen! ?

Thanks for clarifying guys.

Yes it is getting a little stressful because people are getting finalists emails and I have not received anything. Some are saying they have to let Nurse Corps know if they accept by August 31st but Nurse Corps is saying we will know one way or another by September 30th but it's really nerve wrecking. I'm at the point where I'm like just let me know if I didn't receive it so I won't have to continue worrying

It is annoying and they should fix it so everyone can know before September. Last year, there were some who got the finalist emails around the first and second week of September, and then around the week of the 30th got the participant emails. In addition, last year people also got credit checks on August 25th, but I haven't seen anyone with a credit check on the 25th this year, or maybe they got it but didn't say anything. If anyone received a credit check on the 25th can you check and post.
