Hi all!
here is some information about previous award recipients for the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program through HRSA.
This is my 3rd year applying. Previously as a hospital nurse. I decided to get an OB certification this year as there is more funding for OB certified nurses.
Last year I was tier one for base (public hospitals). I asked for feedback on who was awarded last year and this was the breakdown I received in 2024.
Psych/ NP
lowest tier funded: 2
lowest debt-to-salary ration: 80%
Women's Health/Maternal Health
lowest tier funded: 2
lowest debt-to-salary ration: 52%
Base (disproportionate Share hospitals/ public hospitals)
lowest tier funded: 1
lowest debt-to-salary ration: 166%
Base (other)
lowest tier funded: 2
lowest debt-to-salary ration: 96%
Nurse Faculty
lowest tier funded: 2
lowest debt-to-salary ration: 185%

Email was from [email protected] but shows up as HRSA in your box.

It seems extremely early from past cycles and I'm wondering if anyone else has been converted to a finalist yet? Really really hoping a countersignature comes soon! I applied as a nurse educator and was sure I wouldn't get it, since they said they would probably only allot 10% to educators this year.
That is awesome! Hope your counter signature comes soon!

How exciting! Congratulations to you 🙂
Hi everyone, I have been listed as "under review" since May 8th with no credit check. My debt-to-salary ratio is at least 200% and site score 17. Anyone have experience with this? Is there some chance I'll at least have my credit eventually checked?
I've tried calling BHW and all they'll say is that we'll hear back no matter what by September 30th. I'm not sure if they're correctly verifying my loans but there's no way to escalate the issue. My only degree is for my BSN.
Hi all! Glad to find this thread as it was helpful during the application process last year.
I am an RN in an outpatient mental health clinic, tier 2. As mentioned above, I was an applicant last year. This year, I had my credit pulled which did not occur last year. I was notified on my credit reporting services today. I'm hoping this is a good sign but I am aware they can pull credit and still not select you... but I'm hopeful.
Can anyone tell me how long they were or have been "under review"? Credit was pulled 7/23. Still under review. I am just wondering what the time frame would usually be for them to make a decision if you are a finalist or not. Has anyone had their status change that did not get a finalist email?

Unfortunately, they have until September 30 to notify either way.
I was under review from May when they pulled credit to July 22 when my countersignature was submitted and the award was formalized. It always had me in some kind of "under review" until the end. Took about a month from when I signed my contract to when the countersignature was submitted and the award was official.
