Hi Everyone,
I've been doing a lot of research online and it looks like there are quite a few people who have had to go through the HPRP process. I got a DUI over a year ago and LARA reported it, so I now have to go through the evaluation process (was just given a list of potential evaluators). I was wondering if anyone who has gone through this has any recommendations. Thank you in advance.

Please let me know how it goes tomorrow. Good luck!

He told me who to pick to do the evaluation and how to answer the evaluation questions and the HPRP found no active AUD diagnosis so I didn't have to go through the program. The evaluator did make me provide one reference (I gave him my friend), but after they met to review his assessment, they wanted to confirm with my PO that I had been discharged from probation early and had passed all tests. After they got confirmation from her was when they called and told me I don't have to go through the program. Hope this helps.
Did they want to access your medical records?
Yes, even if the evaluator does not have a diagnosis, they can try to do it. They followed up with my PO even after my evaluator said I did not have a dx and did not recommend tx and after she told them all my tests were clean and I got early release, they deemed me ineligible for the program. I talked to another person who they tried to make go through it without a diagnosis as well, but his lawyer fought it and he got out of it.
Yeah, he did let me know he didn't have a diagnosis and he wasn't going to recommend treatment. It took a few weeks after he did the evaluation for my intake manager to tell me that they had to contact my PO and the following week they told me I was ineligible. They meet to review cases on Thursdays.
With your friend that had to get the lawyer after his evaluator stated he didn't have a diagnosis and they still tried to get him into a monitoring agreement. How long ago was his DUI before his evaluation? Was it recent to that time frame and that's how they tried to say he needed one? Thank you

What type of drug/alcohol testing did you have to do before your evaluation? Also what questions did they ask during your intake? Thanks again for your help
