Does anyone have any info about what happens when you complete the hpmp program in Virginia? Im 4 years, 9 months in and really have no idea what happens with my license once I'm done. Seems like I'm being tested more often. Like 3 times in a week. And even a hair test after a dilute urine. My first dilute in years! Oh well. Used to jumping through their hoops. I've called the board, with no answer. And my case manager in Richmond never calls back. Hate making any waves at this point in the game. Hoping someone knows something. Thanks for any info.

I don't have any good answers since I'm only a little under 2 years in hpmp, but I have heard of other people getting tested more often and almost as far as there sobriety being "tested" like hpmp is seeing if they will relapse. I have no experience with this though, I hope the last few months start to go smoother for you!
Yeah I guess that's there plan. How awesome! Make me spend every last penny and inconvenience me just a little more while you can. I know it's part of the game, just frustrating.
Thank you for your reply. And good luck to you. It's not easy. If you ever have a question or need to vent, please feel free to message me.

I'm a little over a year in to VA HPMP so I also have no idea but I just wanted to say that it's comforting to know I'm not the only one who feels they play sick little head games with me! Sometimes I question my sanity, like is it really them or is it me?? But yeah I'm fairly certain my CM does indeed play head games with me at times 😒 it's really frustrating, like really this process is already plenty hard so please just stop but I'm slowly learning to just roll with it and getting much more serenity. Of course I do still contemplate giving up (on nursing not sobriety) at least once a day haha. Anyways, so happy you're near the end and I hope all goes well for you!

NV, I also have limited experience but PMd you with what I do know/have heard. PMs often get lost in the ether on this site so please let me know if you didn't get it. Congratulations on nearing the end.
So I wrote a few months ago about the difficulties I was having with just getting some straight info about the whole HPMP completion process, and now I am finally at the finish line. Or so I thought. Just a heads up for those of you in the program, your completion date on your contract is just an "expected" date. My contract was to end on the 13th of the month but I had nothing in writing so I kept checking in, and continued to call my case manager. Now I have had no relapse, no suspicious activity and have maintained the same office job for over the five years, thankfully. But I was told by HPMP that you still have to wait for the meeting they have with the board, then the letter they send out from the board saying you are done. So, basically another month or so. So don't think your check-in's are done on your completion date. Even if you've been a stellar participant. They are going to squeeze that last little bit of money and time out of you. At this point who care, right? One more hoop. Just wanted to pass that along. Wouldn't want a missed check-in to screw you over.

Thanks for the update! HPMP can be a frustrating process. I have to remind myself often to be grateful for the opportunity to work again. Even if it sucks. :)

Read your contract. If the contract says that the COMPLETION DATE is the 13th of the month, then it is over on the 13th of the month if you don't have any problems. If it says "expected" date of completion, that's a different story. I am sick and tired of hearing these stories about BON's manipulating people with their ******** & yanking their chain every which way but loose. If they want you to sign a contract, then they have to comply with it too. A contract isn't a one-way agreement. Both parties must agree & comply.

Hi-
I hope you are having a good start to the New Year. I am in the HPMP program and I just wanted to know how everything turned out? Was it an extra month? And how was the board meeting? I have 6 more months to go and I would love to have some input. Thanks!

Is your HPMP information now hidden that you completed it or is it still public?
