Published

Hello, Im about to finish with my LVN program in 2 months, and Im so worry about taking the NCLEX -PN exam. English it my second language, so I have a hard time understand all the words especially medical terms. Just tell the true that from school I only learn and get into my head the basic, and I know that Im late to start study for the NCLEX EXAM however I have been search and read alot of comment that people said about Saundres Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX - PN exam, 4th edition (a green book) . But you know I open a CD and there is a lot , I dont know where to start, Should I start from

**** step 1: select review Mode ( assessment or study or quiz or exam?) or should I clieck on step 1 start to open study then go to

*** step 2 click on level of Cognitive Ability, or Client Needs, or Integrated process or content area or alternate item formats, then on step 3 I select all to start to study???? Im so confused that to do. I know alot of you guys already did this CD and I know in this form alot of info about it but I want you guys to help on my problem.

( should I study the CD only or study by reading this book too))) pls help .

Just right now I do the study mode >content area>adult health/cardiovascular . I do one system on study and then the next day I do the exam 100 questions on Cardiovascular. that is how I try to do how, does it right or can you guys tell me please. thank you

You are doing the right thing. Spend a little bit more time with the content if you are weak on that topic. It is easier to answer Saunders if you have refresh the content first. When you read the rationales relate them with what you understood from the content you just read or stored in your memory bank.

I approached saunders systematically - system by system. For NCLEX, I did the whole CD, making sure I knew the rationale and strategy for every ?.

Yes, it was time consuming (took 2 wks), but I knew the material. Studying the content of saunders was all I did, with the exception of OB. I read my text on the subject b'cuz that was my weakest area.

I've written about my NCLEX experience in this forum. Check my previous posts for more detailed information

Since you say that you are aware of a language problem, give yourself added time to do this. Do not cut yourself short. There is nothing wrong with taking more time to work on it. Your method of study seems to be good. If you are satisfied that you are learning the material, then stick with it. Time will tell. Good luck.

I have the green saunders book. You can do the 75 questions which is the assessment. It will give you a study schedule to print out. You could study that way also. I KNow several people who studided that book and passed the Nclex the first time. Im done school 2morrow. I will be using that book and the cd. Goodn luck too you.
