How to study for NCLEX on F1 visa

Published

Hi

I'm new here.I graduated from nursing school outside US. I'm here on F1 visa.I started with ESL programs, than I got pregnat and have baby.My baby needs a lot of care and attention because was born premature.I applied to CGFNS and I know that this proces will take very long time.I need to maintain my status ,so I have to be in school.I took Kaplan because they have NCLEX-RN courses preparation for international nurses and also they reconize F1 visa.My program will ends in September and I have to look for another school where I can study for NCLEX,but I have problem to find.I'm living in NYC.I'm so upset and sad, please maybe you have any advise for me because I'm sitting and crying.:crying2: Thank you very much to all of you for any sugestions.

If you've already graduated nursing school, why can't you just take NCLEX already? How much study do you need?

You are abusing the system - an F1 visa is not intended as a method to just live in the US. It's meant to keep you in status while you're completing a particular course of study, not to have you choose some fluff course to keep a visa.

Why don't you go home and study for NCLEX? Even if you pass it tomorrow, you can't stay and work as there are no visas.
