I don't feel like packing right now so I started brainstorming and came up with a potentially interesting topic if anyone has had this experience.
What I'm wondering is if any of y'all have run in to, met, discovered that someone you work with is a member of this BB. This would be especially interesting if it was someone you had a dispute with or someone who was part of the subject you vented about in one of your posts. I just gotta believe it has happened to someone out there. Did you introduce yourselves to the other, or maintain your anonymity? Was it awkward? I'm an inquiring mind who wants to know.

I was walking into another unit once and a guy was on this site and he was looking at the humor thread. I never talked to him to see if he was a regular here. Didn't want to give away my anonymity.

I did figure out one of my coworkers is on here, just by the threads this person posted and the language they used, and some specifics to my unit that were mentioned. I haven't told this person that I figured out their screen name, I just try to stay away from the posts. I feel a little bad reading them, for some reason--not that this person has said ANYTHING durogatory. It's kinda weird! LOL :)

That has happened here at least once that I know about. The member received a strict reprimand.
Be VERY careful that what you share here is untraceable, particularly if you use your own name.

Believe it or not, I found my brother on this site....he's an RN in another country!

I'd be the same way, except every time I saw the other person, I'd have a little grin like...I know something you don't know.

You gotta know something like that is gonna happen. I've kinda worried about it, because as a male nurse surely there is a select few of us who work as psych nurses in this city. And I'm sure by some of my posts, and profile you could narrow it down to like...me. However, barring a couple posts, I've kept my comments nice enough to keep me out of trouble. But if the wrong person happened to read those 2 or 3 not so nice posts, I'd probably be thinking a few knees to the groin would be less painful. Of course I'm not so concerned about that now that I'm leaving, but it's still a good warning to heed.
Not quite what I was looking for, but certainly that is awesome, nonetheless. Any face to face meetings yet?

Yes, as a traveler I have met other people who post on here. I don't worry about what I post here being known as I don't post things here I wouldn't say in the break room at work. Of course, since I'm pretty outspoken, that's a lot of latitude!
One funny outcome of it is that one nurse who met me and realized who I was told me that she had formed a completely different visual related to my online name and had a little trouble putting the name with me!:chuckle

I worry about this at times. That is why I don't write ANYTHING about coworkers or patients I have taken care of. Even if I said one small thing, if that person or someone who knows that person is on here, they would know. Too many other things to talk about then to take that chance.
