I am asking, because from reading the posts here, it seems as if the RN and PN are asking basically the same type of questions. And, after I finished my PN today, there were two other girls who were taking the RN and they said that they too had a lot of prioritizing, sata, and meds they knew nothing about on their tests. We didn't dare stand there and compare questions, but it seemed that the exam was basically based on the same things. They both also said they had infection control ?'s, and I had a lot of those two. None of us had more than 2 math. It's seems to be that way for everyone if what I'm reading here is true. Maybe the RN questions are harder or more in depth. If that's true, then I really dread taking that test when I go back to school for my RN.

The exams are quite different, topics covered are quite different as the scope of practice is not similar. And this is where the major changes are, one must know what can be done and what cannot be done by those from other classifications, etc.
That is also why there are two very different books to use for preparing.
The RN exam covers much more in many other aspects as well.
Best of luck to you.
Thank you!
