I ask this because when I start I will not be working, and it will only be my husband working. And we have three girls ages 2,7and 8. And I just want to plan ahead so that we have money put aside for things that might pop up. And to also cover things like scrubs and other nursing school expenses. Thank you.

I don't have children but I can tell you me and my entire class with an exception of maybe 2 of 25 blow money on food every day we have school. We're at school so long and its much easier to just stop at Mcdonalds than pack a lunch but if you plan ahead and make food or a menu for the week and buy snacks that you can pack you will save sooooo much money. Good luck

This x100. Start meal planning your lunches, etc. After seeing how much I was spending a month eating out for convenience, I started planning and packing. Not only was I more satisfied with myself and had more money, but I started losing weight, too.
Thank you so much for your advice, I will be doing that for sure.
Thank you so much, I will be planning out everything come September then.

Try to keep your classes consecutive. Having gaps longer than 20-30 minutes in between classes gives you free time to blow money on food, gas, and gift shop/bookstore items. If you're not working this should be fine because you can always study and do homework before and after school
Thank you so much, yes My plan is to study whenever I can and keep my mind focused on school.

Why wait until September. Start saving money now.
That's a mistake a lot of people make. They don't start saving for school until school starts. You can start right now to reduce your daily living expenses and set the money aside. Depending upon your financial status and how much money you'll need ... think thrift shops, yard sales, etc. for clothes ... watch for sales on school supplies for you and your kids ... watch for bargains for XMas presents and/or decorations now ... minimize your entertainment expenses, etc.
Good luck.
Thank you, that's a great idea I'm going to start now. I have started making a Nursing bag as I call it for school putting stuff in it like pens, day planner, post it's. Hand sanitizer, and Tylenol just in case a headache comes on from studying lol.
I have started selling shirts to raise money for nursing school. Maybe the best idea I have had yet!!!
These are the ones I'm doing so far people have loved them.
Here is another one I have done. I have been offering them to everyone you can put CNA, LPN, RN..etc. On them what do you all think ?
