How do you remember it all?

How do you remember everything. I am a second year LPN student. Do I need to keep reviewing first semester information so I will remember it all come december when I have to take the NClex? Keep reviewing anatomy, etc? In a panic... help!

It depends on your learning style. You can review slowly during the year, or you can choose to review all of the information in one big chunk immediately after graduation.

I have found that everything is building on past courses. I do a very quick review/overview of a system before we do the pathophysiology. Then the pathophysiology makes sense to me. Also, when we do respiratory, for example, I do a quick review of the pharmacology associated with respiratory disorders.

It helps me a lot to do it this way and takes about 30 - 40 minutes per system.

I like the idea of review/overview before you do the system. I have been cramming but want to take it to the next level. Great comments! I made a note of both. Any more suggestions?

Do you have an NCLEX review book. I liked Saunders the best and see that others on here like it too.

Reviewing the material from an NCLEX review book would give you a good review/overview of the material and familiarize you with the book you would use to study for NCLEX.

Saunders is a big book and appears to be a daunting task to consider reading it from cover to cover after you finish nursing school. However if you familiarize yourself with the book now it may not seem so daunting later.

Best of Luck
