I graduated nursing school in Ohio in 2016 and got my first RN job right away. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out and I quit before orientation was over, only 3-4 months into the job. I lost confidence in myself and just started waitressing again and I’ve been doing that for 3 years. My RN license has been expired since October 2017. If I want to get back into nursing, and renew my RN license, how do I do it? I heard you have to take a refresher course but where can I find more info about that? Any info is appreciated.

Look on your states BON for information on how to reactivate your nursing license. Every state is different and you may get conflicting information.

May require a refresher course, but would highly recommend looking at state's BON.

In my state, you can officially request "inactive" status. Did you do anything like that or just let it lapse?
In MA, if you're inactive, you have to complete some contact hours and pay a fee to reactivate.
I just let it lapse.
