I would love to go to CRNA School I have my MSN but $$$ has always been the reason NOT to go. Not sure how I can work FT and go to CRNA School, but no idea how to pay for the program.

Really makes it difficult. I do work and live in South Texas I know the pay scale is high for CRNA's here we are very short on providers and medical professionals in general.

Just wondering how you all paid for school and living expenses. I make 95K as an RN at the local VA, but I really hate the job, love the pay hate the job.

Savings>loans A friend of mine took out a 170k loan, granted he's going to an expensive school.

I'm cashing out my retirement and taking out loans. I know you're never supposed to do this, but I should be able to recover fairly quickly when I'm done, especially if I work OT. It's a risk, that's for sure. You have to try to minimize your monthly costs. For instance, paying a $2500/month mortgage isn't feasible while you're in school unless you rent your place out. Having a $500/month car payment isn't feasible either, unless you want to take out a lot in loans.

All of the SRNAs i've talked to say that you're so busy while you're in school that you will hardly notice that you don't really have money. Even if you don't go to CRNA school, find a different position. There are a lot of positions you can take up within the VA. Life is too short to dislike your job.
