How often do you wear a set of scrubs

I was wondering how much scrubs I'd need to buy. How much pairs do you have? Do you wear different scrubs every day, alternate every other day, or wear one pair for a week then change? Do you switch tops and pants? I'm sure it depends how busy you are and which department you work in but I'd hate to do laundry every couple days.

I have enough to last the week. So approximately 5-6 of each-tops and pants. Also some jackets for cooler temps........

Obviously, it depends on the uniform guidelines where you work, but where I work we can wear any colors (except for red, white or light pastels). I usually buy my pants in basic colors and then look for fun print tops that go with these colors. I usually spend a little more for quality pants because I have fewer pairs (enough for a week of work plus a couple extra). Many of my tops are seasonal, but almost all of them were very inexpensive. For example, I shop for my Halloween tops in December or January when they are on clearance. It takes a couple years to get a collection built up, but that really has kept costs down for me.

Another poster had a great suggestion to keep a change of underwear and socks handy. I can't tell you how many times especially the extra socks have come in handy (shoes you can wipe off with a disinfectant, but not socks).

Good luck:)

I wear them daily. We have two colors, red and navy. I have 5 sets of each. That way I can alternate them, and in the event I am busy and can't do laundry it isn't that big a deal for a while.:chuckle

Also, if you do the unfortunate thing of washing and drying a pen with your scrubs, not all of them will be affected, and you still have something to wear. I did that, just a couple of weeks ago.:imbar
