How often to check Beta hcg?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how often they like to check quantitative hcg levels in the first trimester, specifically in the first few weeks of finding out? Thanks!

Unless you are having problems, or are high risk, they aren't neccesarily checked at all.

Specializes in NICU.

...And if you ARE having problems, then probably every 48 hours. At least that's what they did for me.

It's up to your health care provider and individual situation.

Have you gotten another?

I'd think that once it went from 6 to 565, it was enough of a jump in the numbers to satisfy any OB.

With both of my pregnancies, I was an infertility patient. I had a beta drawn on the day of a + home test and then 2-3 days later and my final one would be a week after I took my home pregnancy test.

But a lot of it depends on how you are doing-like bleeding and such.
