How Much OBGYN office pays for RN's?

Published

hello friends, I have an interview at OBGYN office and I kind of want to know how much is the ideal payment for RN's in the office anuually? Also what kind of duites would be expected of me? I would like to get into Labor & Delivery and I really think it will be a good stepping stone for me.(if I get it) I live in NY , so those of you with the same job and if you know somebody who works at the office, Please help. I would like to know what I am getting into.

Mini.I am thinking $60000, because my my friends who have gotten a job at hospitals makes $70000 and close. so what do you think? is it too much? what do I need to expect? Anyway , I just do not want to be shocked!!

As always thanks you guys, I do not even google first, I always come to this site first.

Specializes in L&D, Maternal Fetal Medicine, LTC.

I worked in a Maternal Fetal Medicine office (High risk OB) in Virginia as an LPN. I didnt make near as much as the RNs there, but a close friend of mine (who worked there) made approx. 50,000/yr salaried. She ALWAYS worked overtime though...poor thing, office closed at 5 and she'd stay until at least 7 or 7:30. But again, thats in VA and from what I gain---nurses in NY make more than nurses in VA. Good luck!

Thanks, I guess I just have to go tell me what they can pay me! Anyway, its just an interview, not a job offer. But thanks giving me an idea!! Those of you who live in NY and work in office please write your input. The interview is Thursday!!
