I spent around $1,000 for airfare and hotel booking, inclusive of free breakfast. I stayed at Saipan Ocean View which is just a very short walking distance from the testing site.
If I were you, I would bring some coffee and snacks with me, (so you won't regret not doing so, once you've computed how much more you had to spend for a box of instant coffee or pringles). The hotel provides free hot or cold drinking water anyway.

thanks for that info too, chopsy. i was originally scheduled on August 16 but i had to cancel that appointment 'coz some of my friends haven't received their ATT yet. we're a group of 8 and we'd probably go in late August or early September.
thank you and God bless!

Do you know other more hotels, near the testing site, who were offering cheap packages? By the way, tnx for the information..
If I'm not mistaken, Saipan Ocean View is the only hotel which is within walking distance from the testing site.
There is a cheaper hotel, I believe it is just $10 less--- Saipan Gold Beach.
If you are planning to visit the testing site, just to relieve the anxiety before your scheduled test date, then you would be spending a little more if you stay at Saipan Gold Beach, considering that you still have to ride a taxi going there.
So you would suggest that it's better for us to stay at Saipan Ocean view than Saipan gold beach?tnx..

Saipan ocean view is not only in front of the test site but also walking distance to duty free shops and hard rock cafe.

try Continental Airlines, they have package for nurses.
$571 for airfare, 4d3n, free breakfast, oceanview hotel + P1,680 for tax
as far as i know they offer the cheapest fare since they are the sole direct carrier from philippines to saipan.
plus, be reminded that saipan is 2hours ahead in phils. time
and that the only available flight is either wenesday or saturday...
gudluck...

i had a fellow nclex taker whose air-fare was around $1000 excluding
the hotel.
Her agency (who paid for it, thank God) was unable to book her for a direct flight. she had a stop over at Guam and had to endure 8hours of travel (as opposed to 3h direct flight)
It happened last March when everyone is trying to avoid the .07% increase of NCLEX passing rate (i'm one of those...hehe!). Luckily she passed, so it's all worth it.
In addition, the cheapest restaurant we found was not in the hotel, but D'Elegance Cafe, the one featured in PROBE. Filipino owned restaurant with filipino food, ofcourse. $2/meal/1viand, $3/meal/2viand without drinks. there's a mineral water dispenser so it's okay. It's a walking distance from the Oceanview hotel.
Plus, every staff of the hotel are pinoys. It's like never leaving Manila.
even some of the staff of pearsonvue are "pinoys"
and book ur flight early, you don't have to pay now, just renew your reservation every month then pay when able.
and don't pay for your Visitor's Entry Permit, u can do it on your own, some agency are charging P1,500 for it.
gudluck and God bless...

Hi, I know a good manila based agency that help my fellow nursing friends in their Nclex-Saipan Exam. You can try to inquire and contact Central Travel & Tour
Hope this can help you. Good Luck! ^_~
