How much do experienced ICU RN's make in Riverside County, CA, and San Diego, CA?

Published

Hello,

My husband and I are looking to move from northern California to southern california (the areas specified above). We know that the salary is not as high as in northern California, but were wondering if anyone works at the above hospitals and can give us an idea of salary? We are both nurses in the CVICU, but can work in any ICU setting. He has 10 yrs experience, and I have 3 years. Thanks! :yeah:

Specializes in Family Practice, Mental Health.

Probably NOT enough! (LOL - please forgive my flippant answer....I'm feeling especially sarcastic today - and wish that I could think that someone would be posting a high dollar amount.)

Specializes in Emergency, Trauma, Critical Care.

Riverside Community hires New Grads around 34 to 35 an hour right now. So based on step...3 years experience would probably get you 37/hr....not sure about your husband.

Other hospitals pay less in that area.

I can't tell you about San Diego, but I think it's probably similar wages. Higher cost of living though.
