Define "enjoy."
Do I have "fun" on my job? Would I rather be at work than at home? Do I wake up in the morning all excited about going to work and looking forward to it? No. If you mean that kind of "enjoy," then I would rate my job in staff development as a 5. Some days are a little fun: some are bad: most are in between.
However ... if by "enjoy" you mean ... Does it give me satisfaction? Does it give me pleasure? Would I miss it if you quit and didn't have to work for a living any more? Does it warm my heart? Then I would give it an 8.
I hate going to work. I would give my nursing job a 2 or 3. I have been a nurse for almost a year and this is my second nursing job. It is better than my first, but still not what I'm looking for. I never imagined that I would not want to work after working so hard to earn a college degree. I would stay home in a second if my fiance and I could afford it. And we don't even have children yet, so I would have no reason to stay home other than I hate my job!
What do you not like about your job? What do you not like about nursing? I can't think of a single nursing grad who didn't spend most of their first year in either terror or loathing of their job. Working 2 jobs in the first year has hardly given you time to adjust to either working environment and develop a level of competency or satisfaction.

Oh yeah and, I'd give my job a 10 on most days. Days we're short staffed, overworked and you have 3 codes, I'd give a -10 to. Good days to bad days: approx 5:1 ratio.
I'd say about a 5. I would like to not HAVE to work, I'd like to work about 3 days per week.
My tasks are somewhat stressful and boring but there are some moments when I enjoy my coworkers and/or the patients.
After working for about 40 years, I think this is as good as it gets. I used to truly love my work but have just gotten older, that's all, and it's harder to please me, I suppose. Plus, I see that people like Princess Di (when she was alive), other royals, and very wealthy people do not have to punch a clock and I would like to be in that category but will never be so you could say that life's unfairness is a problem for me.
Not much can change my circumstances, sadly.
I'd give it a 5.
I like what I'm doing, and in general like most of the people. There are times when I have fun with my co-workers. I enbjoy being busy, helping people, being challanged mentally, etc...
There are times when I don't eat, pee, when I get yelled at and made to feel like an competent fool (by the next shift, of course)...
So I start my day, work hard, feel good, and then get squashed by the next shift for not being perfect.
Then I drive home, regret taking this job, and wonder when I can quit.
So, now I'd give it a 4!

On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 meaning you absolutely love your job, how much do you enjoy nursing?
