Anyone know how much to prepare for the more critical stuff or how in depth to study that type of content? I feel like I crammed so much stuff in during our last block in December and now I don't remember all of it!
I completed the Kaplan course and am now studying and practicing questions. So far, I have not come across any questions about the different vent modes, ARDS, MODS, different types of shock, etc. Maybe I just haven't hit those questions yet?
Also, what about EKGs? Just be able to id the rhythm on an alternate type question or know all the normal times for waves and intervals?
Thanks!

You are missing the point.....NCLEX-RN, is testing your basic care knowledge, what you have mentioned are complex care. If you have a NCLEX review book, it will give you just what you need to be successful.
Stop over thinking it, it is a sure sign that you will have a negative outcome...........know your core content, ie Endocrine, Renal, Cardiovascular etc and how to care for those patients, that is how you will pass.
All the best...........
Yup, I am definitely an "over thinker!" I am very anal and did very well in school but am now panicking that there is just too much info.
I guess I just need to step back and focus on basic care.
Thanks for the advice!
