How was microbiology for you? Grade for you? Topics covered?

Published

I just finished micro and got a B. Labs were fun/hard. Make sure everything goes smoothly - if you mess up on your unknown! How was the class itself for you? Hard//easy? I'm wondering if our topics covered were different. What did you cover in pathogens?

Another class I'm scared of.... though it will probably be the last science pre-req I take since you have to have physiology first. I have two more semesters to build my confidence with my first ever 'real' (non-art) anatomy/physiology classes in the meantime. :D

Though seeing so many positive posts on how interesting it actually is is very encouraging.

I got a B, but am retaking for an A (and deeper understanding) in a 6 week summer course. I found the class information heavy, more so than A&P. My micro class covered a lot of pathogens and modes of treatment, it's very much tailored to the future nursing student.

Woah good job everyone, how were you able to retake it? Where I'm from and what I heard from other people is that a C is the worst grade because it stays on your transcript and you can't retake it!

I will be taking it next semester. I heard that its harder than both anatomy and physiology. Anyway, I am planing to get an A ia.

Is this course doable in the summer? They offer a ~5 week course at my school that I'm considering, but I'm a little stressed thinking about all the material coming at us through a fire hose.

Specializes in orthopedic/trauma, Informatics, diabetes.

Liked micro-did not like my professor. took it as a Biology major. I never want to hear "Krebs cycle" again.
