How many years an RN before MSN?

On average, for those of you ANP's on this board, how many years were you an RN before applying to a Master's degree program?

Thank you tryingtohaveitall. I guess jumping the gun sounds like a good idea in thought but in reality may not be the wisest decision.

Don't let me stop you. I tend to be quite cautious and underestimate my own capabilities. This may be a great time for you to jump in with both feet and get your advanced degree. I'm sure you'll do a great job whenever you decide to go back to school.

about 8 months, then worked P/T while in NP school.

There is definitely a lot to be weighed here. I guess I always underestimate my time in the military as a medic. I never count that as nursing experience. I should probably change my thinking...
