Jen- I chose my schools based on my evaluation of what they had to offer. I would not "settle", remember that this is essentially a terminal degree and you need to be sure you want to do this and are prepared for the rigor that is anesthesia school. I applied to two schools that would meet my needs educationally and clinically- not all programs will "fit" you. After selecting them, I examined what my current knowlege base was and what I would need to get in to each school. I got all my ducks in a row and was accepted to both on the first application cycle. I had to move halfway across the country to attend my first choice, and so far I am loving it. (Even if I am on hour 10 of an 18 hour study session- three exams this week.)
Just an observation here. Many applicants who are offered a spot in more than one program respond to each program in the affirmative. Whether they are trying to make up their minds, or waiting on a better offer, they tie up spots in each program which affects many other applicants. In the future, look for more and more programs to start including a requirement for a down payment towards tuition as part of the acceptance response. If you decide not to show up or to go elsewhere, the deposit will be forfeited.
what where your credentials if you don't mind me asking. Way to go and good luck. I am from Minnesota and I have never been disappointed to live here. Only suggestion, bring/buy a warm jacket!
I'm willing to move anywhere that will pay for my education! I'm a CNRN, CCRN with over 14 years Neurovascular/Trauma ICU experience.

I was wondering, how many years of appyling did it take you to get accepted into a program? Was it the school you had hoped for or did you take what you could get? Did you have to move? Did you apply at a large amount of schools or bank on one or two?
Just trying to get a feel for what lies ahead!
