Just curious:p I will be 40 on Wed. I've got 2 kids, 10 and 6. I am still doing my pre-req's. I know I can do this,but would love to hear from some more grey hairs, hee hee:D By the way, my names Heather and I'm fairly new to the site.

35 y.o. jack-of-all trades, Dad of 3 gorgeous young ladies 5, 8 and 10 commences nursing degree supported by a wonderful wife and friend of 12 years.

Why?? You nurses/students are such wonderful, interesting people...and it would be a crime to not share your experiences in this selfish and cruel world.

Well, I just think it's time for me to get a REAL job.

BTW, thinking about age......I don't think I would've succeeded in nursing if I started earlier....way too immature - I'd be a liability to patients, peers and family!

Hi! there! Everyone here makes me feel so much better about my age, im 39. I started going to night school about 5 years ago and working full time. I now go to school and work partime, im a single mom with a 13 and 7 year old. I have all my prereqs done and hope to be in a ADN program by fall. Good luck everyone. Were only old if we think we are! Good luck to everyone !
