I have been applying to nursing schools twice now.
Both times, I was placed 110, 102 out of 100 they choose.
My GPA's are competitive (3.7)
Great essays, (advisors and nursing school faculty said so)
Ok interviews..
I may be lacking in volunteer works but it's so hard between being a full time student and a full time worker.
Will I get in the third time?
I cut back the hours and started volunteering at the YMCA.
Hopefully spring 2010 will be the year I get in but I am doubting myself these days.
Just wanted to vent or so.

102 out of 100? Ugh, you must be so frustrated!
Keep trying. If this is your passion, don't let anyone or anything stop you.
IF I get in for the Spring, it will be the second time I've applied. I was told the only thing holding me back for the Fall was my C- in Psych 101. I fixed that and was told that I have a shot for Spring. Time will tell, I guess.
If I don't get in, I'll keep trying. It took me 32 years to figure out where my heart lies!
All the best. Please let us know about your journey. :)

I have technically applied twice, but the first time I pulled my application because of some personal issues, before the admittance commitee met. I applied agin for the spring 2010 semester and got in. My school only looks at points though. There is no interview or volunteering nessecary. Good Luck
