Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to know:idea::
1> How many times did you Apply to Nursing School??
2> Was it for an A.A, BSN, LVN/LPN?
3> What was your GPA???
Thanks Everyone for you Input!!
I applied to nursing school like 3 or 4 times!!! My GPA was a 3.88. I decided to go finish my bachlors degree in another field then tried again. By then they had changed up how they let people in (decided that just because you have a 4.0 in 4 classes DOESN'T make you the best nurse) and got in. It was tough...and even tougher when I went through nursing school. But I say if you really want it...keep trying!
I applied once and got in, it was a BSN program. I heard that less than half of the applicants were accepted at that time, though. I don't really remember my GPA.. something like a 3.7 or so for my first year of prerequisites. I also had some volunteer experience in hospitals (I think that helped).
I applied twice. Once in the early 80's, had the GPA 3.8, but the list was so long. Didn't get in. So decided to hit LPN school. Was the best thing I ever did. I gained lots of experience and then decided to bridge in the 90's, it was so much easier. Not saying that RN school was easier, but suppose I had more confidence.
I applied once to a community college while I was still in high school...my gpa...like 2.9 when I graduated...had some medical issues...got accepted to the LPN program...I was 17. Had to take one class over again....long story...Passed the second time...Applied for the ADN program...got in...don't remember my gpa...graduated.....applied for the RN to BSN program....my gpa was like 3.3....got in...had to drop out d/t family issues...but hey...applied x3...got accepted x3....and my gpa still isn't that great.
