How many?

Hi'ya!

So, how many campuses are you responsible for? Is there more than one nurse at your school or do you have an aide in the office?

1 elementary, 387 students, one nurse

There are 5 elementary and 1 preschool, around 2500-3000 students, lots of staff. The District RN and me the LVN cover all the schools. The assistant secretaries are also the health aides (like they don't have enough to do). The RN was on her own until my position was created, this is the start of my 3rd year. We stay busy. I always tell people I don't know what day it is until I know which campus I'm at.

500 students

75 staff

1 nurse

NO AIDE

My district has 10 schools.

I work in the early childhood building, I'm the only nurse for 224 kiddos.

6 elementary schools-each have 1 nurse.

2 middle schools- each have 1 nurse

1 HS- they have 2 nurses

None of the schools have a health room assistant or aide.

We have a district "lead" RN who floats around and helps, and mostly subs for the schools when the district can't find an agency person.

2 schools (one middle 800 students, alternative HS 120 student), and one elementary diabetic. 65 staff, no aide (10 schools in our district 5 nurses)

2 schools, about 800 students. I have 1 UAP working at one school who takes care of the day-to-day tasks and doubles as an extra secretary, while I sit in the health office at the other. I am also responsible as a 1:1 nurse for 2 medically fragile services-only students. When I am at that school, the secretaries take care of kids coming in to the office for health needs.

Every year, there's more and more added to my overflowing plate. It's getting old.
