How many schools?

hello everyone, i have been lurking long enough, so i decided to post. my question is, how many schools did you apply to when applying to nursing school? the reason i am asking is we all know how competitive it is to get in nursing school. so, i thought since i am in a big metro area (atlanta) i would apply to a number of the schools. my other question is did you pay the application fee for each school you applied to? the cost of each school is between $45-$55. that is a lot of money and if i don't get in i won't be attending the school so i feel i am out a lot of money. i am finishing my last preq this fall, so i don't need to go to school for those. thanks

3 schools, and I paid application fees at all schools. It was a one-time shot for me, if I had not gotten in that round I would not have re-applied but instead switched to plan B.

Thanks everyone. I think that I am going to narrow it down and just condsider it an investment. I mean you never know maybe, I will get in all of them and get to pick. Thanks again for all your help.
