How many schools are you applying to?

I wasn't sure if this was started up but how many schools are you applying to? Also, if you are applying to multiple schools, are you taking prerequisites at one school and hoping that the courses transfer to all the schools? I would like to apply to at least three nursing programs but not al schools have the same prerequisites. I don't want to spend all my money taking unnessary classes especially since I have a bachelors degree.

Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm applying to eight schools this Fall that would start the following spring. If I don't get in to any, then I have another 4 schools that I would apply to in the spring and start the following fall. Most of the schools have the same prerequisites, but I am taking a few classes that are only required for top schools on my list.

I've only applied to one school. I have all the prerequisites done except for A&P 1. I'm taking that this summer and hopefully I'll get into the nursing program for fall or spring.

I don't think 8 schools is nuts. I picked only one because it's the one I really want and I didn't want to pay app fees for others I knew I wouldn't get into. If I don't get in for fall (should find out this week!) Then I'll roll my app over for spring. They have to let me in eventually :)

Thanks for the responses everyone! Two of the schools I am looking at have the same prereqs so hopefully I can boost my GPA for both.

I applied to 20 schools and i have gotten into 3 so far, and rejected from 4.....the main pre reqs are all the same, micro, physio, anatomy, english, and speech....
