I agree with the previous poster. During a vacuum attempted *lady partsl* delivery, everywhere I've worked allows three pop offs before proceeding to cesarean, but since cesarean is the ultimate procedure for delivery, as many pop offs as needed to deliver the baby would be allowed. I mean what would be the point of limiting the number of pop offs during a cesarean? What then?

Sorry to ask here, but my son was delivered via C-Section. During the delivery they had 16 pop offs of the vacuum device used. Ended up needing 4 people to help push him out.
Is there a set standard for how many are allowed? His head is bruised up ( some is normal I understand) but talking to the nurses they were all shocked and even a couple gasped when they found out.
The doc has made it very clear to us the baby's head size was the reason for this, 36 cm iir.
I just want to know is this normal, is there a guideline that limits pop offs allowed etc? Your help is appreciated
