How many jobs have you applied to?

I'm curious, how many jobs did you apply to before you were hired?

Specializes in Neurosciences, stepdown, acute rehab, LTC.

Hmm.. I complain about not being in acute care but at the end of the day .. At the beginning I applied for maybe 3 in nearby hospitals.I was working for an assisted living and they didn't have any open RN positions in the facilities within the company .. But then I mosied on over to the LTC/ SNF anyways and got hired for per diem the following week, pending that I passed my nclex . My NCLEX pass went through at like 3 AM one Monday morning and I went in with my new scrubs and my DON had a big smile and was holding the paper that said I passed and we started training and I have been an appreciated member of the family ever since . At the time it was like OH THANK GOD RENT MONEY ! I hadn't considered much of what it would have been like without my previous CNA position . My job is super networkey about who they hire. I've gotten 2 people in on word of mouth . Still want to leave "home" soon though !

(oh and they said "we don't have hours right now ", that was a big lie. Everyone suddenly needed a day off with me there !)
