Just curious about the amount of time between school & studying you spend a week. I may have a child by the time I get accepted into a program & am wondering what kind of time I will be devoting to school.

As many as it takes to grasp the material.
You want to spend at least 3`4hrs per credit hour of each course doing your own study, so for a 4 credit hour course, you're looking at 16hrs/week. This can go up or down, it just depends on what kind of student you are. A good rule of thumb is to just keep studying until you get it.

Hello! I'm in class/lab 9 hours per week (3 days per week, each 3 hour classes/lab), and 2 days at the hospital (8 hours per day, so 16 hours per week). I'm at school or the hospital Monday-Friday. Everyday I study about 3-4 hours, and Sunday is usually my study day when I catch up on everything, because we have exams on Mondays. I tend to "overstudy" because I don't like getting under and A.
Having a young child and going to nursing school will be tuff (I never experienced it, but many students in my class have children), but it can be doable. You must manage your time.

Im in an accelerated program this summer, so my life is basically school all of the time. However, during a regular semester I usually spend about 10-15 of studying a week max. My theory hours are usually the majority of my hours like going to school Monday-Thursday and spending about 3-5 hours per class.

I'm in an accelerated program and I spend nearly all my free time studying. I also have a family, but I have tons of help. If I am able to attend activities outside of school, I have study material with me.
That being said, there are plenty of people in my class who probably spend about 1/3 of their time as I do studying, manage to have a social life, and do well.

You should expect nursing school (as a full-time student) to be at least the equivalent of a full-time job. Best wishes for your journey!
