I have my orientation next week so I'm sure I'll get clarification, but I just got my schedule for my 1st semester of nursing school and if I'm looking at it correctly, once I start clinicals I'll only have 3 hours of lecture a week. And 2 hours of lab. I know for at least the 1st 3 weeks we'll probably be using time scheduled for clinicals (6 hours 2x a week) for lecture and lab.
Is this abnormally low or average?

That's average, my first semester lecture was 4 hours a week and lab 2 hours a week. For my third semester lecture is 4 hours a week and lab is 4 hours a week but I'll be done with lab the first month of school. In my program in the beginning of the semester we always have these "on campus clinicals" where we have like 6 1/2 lectures.

That seems about right. When you think about all the studying you will be doing, 3 hours of lecture is enough. I have 4 hour lecture for one class, and 3 hour lecture for the other...then of course lab and clinical time.
Haha yes of course, so much studying 😖 good luck to you!! :)
