to Nursing School and turned it down and why?
Would you attend a school that only has a 70% pass rate?
I'm a little hesitant on a school that I've been accepted to but I really do wanna just get it over with. I'll have to wait at least another year before getting accepted to a "better" school that I'm interested in.
Wut-Da-U think?
Oh my goodness!!!!! I was thinking 70% sounded good... I haven't even started pre-nursing classes yet but I was freaking out that my school's was low because I had no clue what it was, lol. So I just looked it up and it's a little over 97%. What a relief!
Sorry for rambiling... I would take the chance at the school with the 70% pass rate. It's your call, but I wouldn't want to waste a whole year waiting for the opportunity to apply elsewhere when you may not even get accepted. Take this chance and run with it! Prep like crazy for the NCLEX exams (there are books and such) and study some of your old HESI prep stuff (I don't know from personal experience but I've heard from various sources that this helps A TON). You will pass if you put in the effort... period; regardless of your school's pass rate.
UNLESS of course money is an issue. That is a lot of money to spend on such an unsure venture. Sorry I left this out when I first typed the message. I often forget about money issues because my state pays 100% of my tuition plus $300 extra a semester to go towards books or lab fees. It's nice to have the security... but I still worry about paying for rent, utilities, etc.

Oh my, that is GREAT! I'm jealous I've decided not to attend the school.
Best of luck to you.

I got accepted to 2 schools at the same time. One was ADN, one was diploma. The reputation of the school I chose was better (100% passing rate) + school had been around for 100 years. Not really knowing if it would be a huge difference btw diploma and ADN I went with the better school with the dimploma.
