IS there a place/state in particular that you are looking at, is it SA only? There are heaps of different state universities!! You can also do external when living in different states, but that means travelling to that campus for a week or two a once or twice a year.
Out of the ones you have listed, I would go UniSA, Flinders then ACU and haven't really heard of the others..... and that is only going on knowing students from there.
thanks for your info.
since i just got these 5 universities info., i am not sure whether there are other universities that have programmes for degree of nursing.

For all the institutes that offer a nursing degree (as a bachelor +/- honours program and graduate entry) check the Good Guides site. You might also like to look at the sticky thread at the top of the Australia/New Zealand page, which has a lot of information for people thinking about starting a nursing career.

I'm doing my BN at SCU in Lismore, but it also runs at other campuses. SCU is a small uni and very focussed on holistic care and the psychosocial aspects of nursing. There isnt enough prac, but i dont think there is anywhere. I'm not sure about cost comparrison, but I hear that UNE in Armidale also has a pretty good nursing dept. Newcastle uni also does nursing, on a bigger scale, and with a global reputation. It is prolly more expensive and harder to get into tho.
I think we all tend to get a bit patriotic about our uni, but I really do like SCU- its very personal, its a lovely campus, the staff are fantastic and there is a real community of nursing students- which above everything else, is the key to my survival.
Look around, talk to ppl, and work out what you really want out of your degree.
Good luck!
