How to make a good impression in new career?

Do any of you first year nurses have advice for those of us starting our first nursing jobs on how to best establish professional relationships with our new colleagues?

I'll be joining a unit with nurses who have been working together for many, many years. I loved working with these women during my clincals, and I don't want to make a bad impression when I begin working with them in two weeks.

I've heard some wonderful advice including:

  • Avoid gossip
  • Arrive early and be prepared to take report on time
  • Complete your duties
  • Accept blame when you are mistaken
  • Help colleagues whenever you can

What can you add to this list??

Thank you in advance!
