DID YOU WORK PART-TIME WHILE FINISHING UP SCHOOL, LIKE WHAT TYPE OF WORK SCHEDULE(HOURS) WERE YOU A FULL-TIME OR A PART-TIME STUDENT.So basically how did you juggle school and work at the same time .I want to know because im still going to be working part-time while finishing up my bachelors..Thanks
I work 24 hours a week (two 12-hour weekend shifts) as a nurse's aide in a nursing home while going to school for my LPN. In addition, I have a five-year old and four-year old at home. My husband is also a full-time student. Most of us in my LPN program do work and several of us have children; two ladies in my class each have four children and work pretty much full-time while doing the program. I actually think it's a good idea to work at least a little while you are earning your degree. You have a better chance of getting a job when you are finished. It can be done; just learn to manage your time wisely. I'm in my third term of the LPN program and carry a 4.0 GPA on top of having kids and a job. Good luck.

I worked full time thru-out ADN, BSN and then MSN. You have to have good study habits and plenty of support OR you have to have good study habits and be very selfish about your time. I pretty much trained family and friends to only call me during certain hours and NOT to expect me to do impulsive things like shopping (could not afford it anyway). Once I was graduated they were all there smiling because, in a way, they contributed to my success.
