How long did you have to wait to take the NCLEX after graduation?
I graduated Friday, but completed my requirements 3 weeks earlier. The school says that they sent the paperwork about a week ago but the Board of Nurse Examiners says it could be a month before it gets processed.
Anybody know anything about this? Especially in Texas....

You will get an email copy of your ATT from the BNE when they completed it. You can sign up to test with that. Did you pay Pearson? Since the BNE combined LVN and RN together, they were extremely backlogged when I was waiting. I had all my paperwork turned in with the the fingerprint cards etc on February 1st and got my ATT on June 15th and my GN permit on June 21st. Keep checking your email.... :)

I took advantage of the processing wait time by studying for NCLEX, Chris.. I was in no hurry... I don't think it took a whole month, though, by any means.
But I chose to wait.. I graduated in Dec., and took NCLEX in March. Wanted plenty of study time.

Hi Chris, A giant big fat ol congrats on your graduation:balloons: Talk with Rosemary Casale at the school or check with your BON. Once all my paper work was in order I tested in about 3 weeks from my conferal (sp) date. This was in the peach state.

I'll just keep on keeping on, trying to be patient. You know I'll let you know as soon as anything happens!!!
Thanks. I feel better now.

I waited a month after I graduated to take the NCLEX. I'm in Texas also and received my ATT exactly one week after I graduated. Others haven't as lucky as I have though.

I actually hand carried my state board registration paperwork around to obtain the required signatures and then hand delivered it to the board. I walked out with my permit that day and then registered for the NCLEX via the internet two weeks later after I had recieved my first paycheque from the hospital I had started work at. I set my test date and then printed out the email copy of my ATT so I didn't have to wait a week for that to arrive. It was a lot of schlepping around, but it really expedited the process.
