Hi,
I am currently taking the Kaplan course and I was wondering how long did people wait after taking the Kaplan course to take the NCLEX?
Did people find that the Kaplan questions were similar to the NCLEX questions?
Did anyone ever fail after taking the Kaplan prep course?
I am getting really nervous because I feel like I am not a strong standarized test taker but I did well in school.
Any advice will help.

I am interested to see replies on this as well. I did the complete online Kaplan course, just finished test trainer # 7 last night and am testing tomorrow. Our prof's told us that statistically the longer you wait to test after completing school the higher the risk is for failing. So I did the Kaplan, I scored above 65%'s and am testing tomorrow. We'll see! Good luck to you.

I took Kaplan about a month ago and our instructor said that we should test within 3 months. But I feel like that is too much time. I took the course a month ago. I just recieved my ATT and the earliest date available to test was in early July:/ How are your scores by the way? I got in the low to mid 50s in the first 3 Question trainers:/ I waited two weeks to retake them and I got 87-89% on them.
I got around high 50-60'a on the first few trainer tests. I have done 1-4 so far. I scheduled my test for early July also. It sounds like you never really feel prepared so I feel like it would be better to just face the test and do my best. Good luck to you!
So we are pretty much in the same boat:) R u only using Kaplan? I am for now b/c I don't want to get overwhelmed with too much material:/ Good luck to u too:) Keep me posted on u r scores, I will do the same. Hopefully they improve as we go through the QTs:)
I am also just using Kaplan for now b/c I think its too overwhleming to try and use something else at this point. Plus I was using Saunders at first, before Kaplan, and I felt like those questions were a lot easier. I would rather be challenged and learn from my wrong choices compared to getting things right because they are easy.
Hopefully we will improve as we go!

Hi. I did kaplan over a month every sat and sun...and just started the QT and QB last week and I will be testing the first week of July...My avg. scores are 55-60. I am also planning on redoing my QT next week before nclex and will do QT7 the weekend before my test. Our instructor made us take NCLEX within one month of the course...good luck... i know the pass rate is 95% for kaplan, according to my instructor...
