How long did it take you to take the NCLEX?

Updated:   Published

I graduate in 4 days and will be reviewing for NCLEX until I get my ATT.

We are using ATI review and Arnett.

Just curious how long did it take everyone to complete the exam, and how many questions did you get?

I'm so nervous!

After I graduated from my BSN program, I signed up for a "highly" recommended review course on campus. Walked in the first morning to find it being taught by the most hated instructor of all. Left at lunch and never went back. Took the Summer off and traveled. Started my job in the trauma/neuro ICU in late August. I took the exam in September. 40 minutes and 75 questions. No studying or preparation whatsoever. Your results may vary. I'm from a different planet.

88 questions, 42 minutes. Took a 3 day review course and utilized the provided videos/materials exclusively. The NCLEX isn't as bad as it's often made out to be.

Specializes in ICU.

I took my test a month after graduation. I got 75 questions and finished in about 70 minutes.

Specializes in Emergency Nursing.

I graduated on June 10th, and I took the NCLEX-RN today, July 18th, and answered 75 questions in 80 minutes before the computer shut me off.

I completed 265 questions in 4 and a half hours but failed.

75 questions little less than 2 hours. Used UWorld, NCLEX RN Mastery, Hurst, and thumbed through Saunders.

Specializes in ICU Registered Nurse.

My computer shut off at 75 questions in 1 hour 30 minutes, and I passed it on my first attempt. I referred UWorld and Archer for the question practice. And the content I listened to was Mark K. lectures (those are the best of all). Everyone has a way of understanding the contents; some read, some write, and some listen. I am good at listening, and I capture more from listening. I used to listen to Nursesarah, Simplenursing.com, Registerednurse.com, and levelUpRN on YouTube. They make lectures more interesting and easier to learn.
