How long does it take to get your License in the mail after passing the NCLEX?

Published

Hey everyone! I just have a question. I took my NCLEX on 2/13 and Passed on 2/15 ( yay!) It took awhile just for my license number to appear on Consumer Affairs on 3/4 after calling from Consumer Affairs few times. I still have not received my license in the mail. Should I be worried? I'm in New Jersey. I'm just nervous it's taking this long and I'm not sure what to do. I've gone to 2 interviews and I do not want to lose any opportunities/

2-4 weeks you can give employers your license number or they can look it up online themselves.

Your employer verifies your license online as soon as it is posted. If your state mails a license, then call them and ask. I received my license in the mail about three weeks after I passed NCLEX and that was in the days before online anything.

I think NJ's government might just be a bit overwhelmed at this time.

The BON functions under the Div of Consumer Affairs - don't know how much 'essential' personnel may be processing licenses.

And then remember, NJ is noted for being extremely S L OOOOO W.

Hope that by this date, OP has received the license.

Congratulations, OP. ?
