How long did it take you to find a job?

Hi Everyone,

I will be starting my CNA class on Jan 18. and I wanted to know how long it took you after you passed your exam to find a job?

I was hired before I was CNA certified and then they put me through the class.

I was on the floor as soon as I was done with my 16 hours of classroom work.

I graduated from my CNA course on a Friday, then was hired for a nursing agency the following Thursday. One working day after being hired, I declined the possition b/c they wouldn't reinburst me for my mileage, they wanted to send me to cases up 60 miles from my home, and then go from home to home w/o a mileage reinbursement.

That sucks. I went to a couple of home health agencies & they only reimbursed $.30/mile. I also went to a temp agency & they didn't reimburse for mileage either:mad:.
