How long does it take to complete info literacy via excelsior?

Published

Hey, I'm just wondering how long the Information Literacy online course takes through Excelsior. Looking at the website, I see the class begins March 1st; so is this not a class that you can complete at your own pace (sooner rather than later) and get your grade? If any of you have taken this class through Excelsior (not Penn Foster) any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I did it in less than a day

Well they are supposed to be changing it to an actual class with assignments and stuff... but as of now, I don't think they have. All you have to do is read a bunch of material, take the sample practice tests... and then when you are ready, you take the final exam on your computer at home. If you finish it the first day, it is graded... you don't have to wait til the end of the 8 weeks to receive your grade. I did it in less than a day too.

I did Penn Foster. Just wrote about it a few days ago. Not bad. I did it after a late night out and while watching a football game. They sent me an official transcript in a week which I immediately placed into another envelope and sent to Excelsior.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

i did it in 4 hours

what exactly are you studying?

Great! Thank you.

It's a requirement to complete Associate Degree Nursing through Excelsior. That's the only prerequisite course I have not met.

Several people have posted that they took only a few hours to complete it.

Hey everyone,

I just passed Intro to Lit! I have to say it was more stressful than I had imagined! A lot of questions scattered! But luckily I passed, now to focus on LS 1!
